Our nation’s capital is an exciting place to be this week. Why? The long awaited Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, 1964 Independence Ave. SW
Washington, DC, officially opens to the public today, Monday, August 22, 2011. It will be open Monday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. leading up to a public dedication ceremony Sunday, August 28, at 11 am. Numerous special events are planned for Dedication Week—the days leading up to the official dedication ceremony.
